Inside Louis Vuitton’s New 5-Story NYC Flagship: A Fusion of Fashion, Art, and Gastronomy
As its flagship on 57th Street undergoes a major renovation, Louis Vuitton has unveiled an impressive five-story temporary location across the street, blending retail, culture, and fine dining. This new pop-up celebrates Louis Vuitton’s iconic craftsmanship with a grand atrium featuring towering trunk sculptures by OMA’s Shohei Shigematsu. Spanning five floors, the space offers exclusive capsule collections, artist-inspired murals, and Louis Vuitton’s first U.S. café and chocolate shop.
A Floor-by-Floor Experience
The first floor is dedicated to leather goods, while womenswear and menswear command the second and third floors. On the fourth floor, visitors will find Le Café Louis Vuitton and the brand’s first U.S. chocolate shop, Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton. The fifth floor features private lounges and Louis Vuitton’s homeware collection.
Culinary Debut: Le Café Louis Vuitton
Led by chefs Christophe Ballanca and Mary George, Le Café offers a playful menu that includes lobster and truffle raviolis embossed with Louis Vuitton’s flower Monogram and Damier tartlets, all crafted with Louis Vuitton’s signature flair. The 70-seat space features a main dining room, bar, and a library curated by Ian Luna, with over 600 collectible books available for purchase.
A New York-Exclusive Chocolate Shop
Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric, following its success in Paris and Shanghai, brings a collection of decadent chocolates to New York. Alongside chocolate bars and hazelnut bonbons, the shop offers Vivienne-shaped music boxes made entirely out of chocolate, adding a touch of whimsy to the Louis Vuitton experience.
Louis Vuitton’s temporary NYC flagship at 6 E. 57th Street opens on November 15, combining high fashion with art and gastronomy in a space designed to leave a lasting impression.
