Lady Gaga Joins Wednesday Season 2 Cast, Following Viral “Bloody Mary” TikTok Trend
Two years after Wednesday fans on TikTok revived Lady Gaga's “Bloody Mary,” the pop icon is officially joining the Jenna Ortega-led cast of Netflix’s hit Addams Family-inspired show. The cameo, reported by The Hollywood Reporter, marks Gaga's debut in the Wednesday universe, with her role set to appear in the show’s second season, currently filming in Ireland and premiering in 2025. Details of her character are still under wraps, and reps for Gaga and Netflix have yet to confirm specifics.
Lady Gaga’s unofficial connection with Wednesday began when Ortega’s viral dance scene was reimagined with “Bloody Mary” by fans, sparking a TikTok trend and propelling the 2011 track to enter the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 41 in 2023. Ortega previously addressed the potential of a Gaga cameo, saying, “If Lady Gaga were to be a part, [she and Wednesday] would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”
This new role follows Gaga’s recent work on Joker: Folie à Deux with Joaquin Phoenix, and her musical accomplishments continue with her seventh studio album, whose lead single “Disease” debuted on the Hot 100 at No. 27.
