The Hawaiian island of Maui is set to welcome its first-ever Nobu restaurant in summer 2025, thanks to chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meier Teper. Located at the luxurious Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, the new Nobu will be a cornerstone of the resort’s massive $350 million renovation by Blackstone Real Estate.

Designed by the renowned Rockwell Group, the Maui location will feature 13,000 sq. ft. of indoor and alfresco dining spaces, including a dedicated sushi bar, murals, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The upscale restaurant will showcase Nobu’s signature dishes, like the Black Cod with Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño, along with exclusive menu offerings crafted specifically for Wailea Bay.

"We are deeply excited to bring the Nobu signature dishes and dining experience that guests have come to cherish to Wailea Bay,” says chef Nobu Matsuhisa. “The opportunity to share the classic dinner, alongside a curation of menu items exclusive to Grand Wailea, is a source of pride for us and allows us to expand the brand’s footprint within Hawaii with an aligned hotel partner."

Nobu at Grand Wailea marks a pivotal addition to the resort’s vibrant culinary scene and is set to become a must-visit dining destination for both locals and visitors.

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is located at 3850 Wailea Alanui Dr, Wailea, HI 96753.
