Bad Bunny Joins Adam Sandler for Happy Gilmore Sequel

Bad Bunny is stepping into his next movie role, joining Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited sequel to the beloved 1996 sports comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Though details of Bad Bunny's role are still under wraps, this marks another major film for the multi-talented artist, following his recent acting roles in Narcos: México and Bullet Train.

Sandler confirmed the sequel’s production via Instagram, sharing a photo of Happy’s iconic Boston Bruins jersey, teasing, “The way I see it… we’ve only just begun.” Directed by Kyle Newacheck, who helmed Murder Mystery, the film will also bring back original cast members Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald.

NFL star Travis Kelce is set to make an appearance, as Sandler revealed last month on The Tonight Show. With a screenplay co-written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, Happy Gilmore 2 promises to capture the comedic magic of the original.
